I had that dream again.

Don't you hate it when you snap awake at 3AM?

It starts innocently enough. My boss comes in with papers in hand, so I know I'm about to get a new project. "Got a minute?" he asks. "We have a few people having trouble with the new hardware we rolled out last week. I'd like you to take a look at it and work your magic."

"Work your magic" is code for "I think I have made the wrong choice." So I look over the paperwork and follow him to the testing lab. Once there I find they have replaced the keyboard with a GameCube controller. Hey! It's my dream. Don't ask me. To make matters worse, they didn't even plug it up to the PC. They cut the connector off the end of the controller and tied the cord onto a keyboard cable. Tied! You know, like a square knot? "You can get it to work can't you?" the boss asks. "We spent the last week rolling it to 200 locations."

And that's when I sit up in bed and thank the powers that made me that it was only a dream.

It's going to be a long day.
