In 1987 I had grown weary of people asking permission to ask me a question. It seemed that everywhere I turned someone was asking "Can I ask you something?" or "Got a minute?" or "Let me ask you this..." Then they would start in with their computer problems. So twenty years ago I began an experiment. What would happen if I gave an answer to their upcoming question beforehand? To prepare for my experiment, I chose the answer "Twelve". Once someone started with the their barrage, I would cut them off and answer "twelve" hoping that one day the actual answer to their question would be really be twelve.
After 20 years "twelve" has never been the correct answer. I have now decided to end the "twelve" experiment.
Now to see if my new answer "Cow" will ever correctly answer people's questions.
