Do what you have to do!

One of my monitoring functions is to check on the email filter and release messages wrongly flagged as junk mail. The filter sends out an alert email, depending on the situation, to the sender and recipient that the message was blocked. It also states why the message was blocked. Now the filter software is pretty sophisticated and gets updated constantly. It knows about virus hoaxes and various other faked emails. So when this started to be blocked by the filters, I didn't think anything of it.

I do have to share this message I received concerning that blocked email --

Well hello e-mail police. This was definitely not business related. It is related to a missing child and getting his picture to as many friends and coworkers as possible in hopes that someone will have seen him or will see him and can alert authorities.

But you just go right ahead and delete it. Don't worry about those frantic heart-broken parents and loved ones. I will even pray for you! It is my Christian duty to pray for the people that I don't want to pray for. You seem to be on the top of that list right now.

Oh, never mind. I know you are just doing your job. Sometimes this sort of thing just smacks of "Big Brother" to beat the band, and the fact that it involved a missing child cause me to go just a little nuts! So sorry. Do what you have to do!

You have no idea how embarrassed she was when I sent her the link to TruthOrFiction.com.
Folks, don't believe everything you get via email. In fact, assume it is not real until you can prove that it is real. Truth Or Fiction can be a good tool for that.
