Shoe on the Other Foot

I realize I give people a lot of grief sometimes. Even if they deserve it. The elevators were not working yesterday due to the power outage, so I decided to take the stairs. Needless to say, too many years behind a desk has taken its toll. I was extremely worn out when I reached the 8th floor. Last night I decided to always take the stairs in the mornings and see if I can get some of my vim and vigor back.

So this morning, I'm going up the stairs and I reach the office door. I'm standing over the code entry pad trying to catch my breath when the elevator doors open and a co-worker slides in behind me.
"Shoe's on the other foot, huh?" he says.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"It's not so funny when you forget your door code, is it?"
I punched the number in the keypad and opened the door. "Third time's a charm." I said with a grin.
