Here, There, Anywhere

Got a call today. The user was having trouble logging on through the VPN. We recently changed our VPN, so I can understand how confusing things can be.

User> I followed the instructions but I was unable to log in from home.
GTG> It appears you have the VPN software installed.
User> Yes I do. I'm looking at it right now.
GTG> Aren't you here in the office?
User> Yes. What does that matter?
GTG> Just so I don't misunderstand... You installed the VPN software?
User> Yes.
GTG> On your computer here at the office?
User> Yes.
GTG> So you can connect from your home PC?
User> Yes.
GTG> How will your home PC run the software you installed at the office?
User> I know. That's why I'm calling you.
GTG> Ok, try this: When you go home tonight, take the instructions with you and follow them step by step.
User> But I've already installed it. Do you think it will help?
GTG> Trust me.
