Tragedy struck the Grumpy Tech Guy household over the weekend when the hard drive crashed on the PC of our youngest family member.
To make matters worse, the warranty ran out about two months ago.
I ran some diagnostics on the drive only to get a Return Code 7. This points to an imminent drive failure. So now I get to scour the countryside for a new 80GB hard drive. Maybe I'll break down and just get one of the newer 160GB or 320GB, but I doubt the PC will last long enough to make full use of it.

At least it wasn't something important like a car breaking down. That would really suck.
